Primal Health provides occupational therapy services for adults (18+) to support recovery, independence, and participation in daily life.
Services are evidence-based and tailored to address physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges following injury, illness, or life change.
Cognitive Rehabilitation and Concussion Therapy
Assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing changes in thinking, memory, attention, or emotional regulation after concussion, mild brain injury, neurological conditions.
Therapy focuses on:
Cognitive retraining and compensatory strategies
Managing fatigue, stress, and sensory overload
Building structure, routines, and healthy habits
Supporting return to work, study, or community activities and safety
Standardized testing may include the MoCA, Trail Making Test, and COPM.
Primal Health does not provide formal cognitive capacity or medico-legal assessments.
Home Safety Assessment
Evaluation of the home environment to identify safety risks and barriers to independence.
Recommendations may include home modifications, fall prevention strategies, and education to improve safety and confidence in daily activities.
Return-to-Work Planning
Support for individuals returning to work after injury, illness, or cognitive change.
Includes:
Graded return-to-work planning
Ergonomic recommendations
Fatigue and symptom management strategies
Coordination with employers and insurance providers
Primal Health works with long-term disability and motor vehicle accident (MVA) insurers to support recovery and return-to-work planning.
